I just discovered this gem in the last month.  I had it saved on my HD for a while, but finally watched it when I heard Iain Glen was going to be on the coming second season.  I watched one episode.... and then marathoned the rest in a day or two!!  Brilliant show, so wonderful nuanced characters.  ( Read more... )

Elizabeth Sladen, who portrayed Sarah Jane Smith on Doctor Who over many years and several regenerations of the Doctor, has passed away.

I was stunned and greatly saddened when I read the news this morning.

I'm glad the New Year is here, and hopefully happier than 2010 -- I lost both my parents within 6 months.    My dad died in May, I got laid off my job in September, and my mom got sick right about the same time. The only silver lining to losing my job was having the time ( Read more... )
